Rocky islets at the mouth of Spencer Gulf. Cold water, deep upwellings, a fur seal colony large enough to draw the biggest predators in the Southern Ocean. The researchers have been coming here for twenty years. The sharks, for thousands.
The Fox Shark Research Foundation photographs them, catalogues them, and tracks them across years. Some return every season. Some disappear for a decade and come back. A few have never been seen twice.
